Welcome to the United States Fab Lab Network!

Experiment, Create, Collaborate

What is a Fab Lab?

A Fab Lab (fabrication laboratory) is a small-scale workshop open to the community designed to empower individuals to create!

Fab Labs are closely aligned with the educational outreach component of MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), an extension of its research into digital fabrication and computation. While providing a place to learn, mentor, invent, and innovate, Fab Labs also share knowledge, tools, and processes.

What is the United States Fab Lab Network?

The mission of the United States Fab Lab Network (USFLN) is to support digital and personal fabrication in academics, business, and community outreach in the spirit of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Fab Charter.

If you are part of an existing Fab Lab, interested in starting one, or just curious about digital fabrication, we welcome you to join our network and the community!
